Laser Hair Removal
Our Cutera CoolGlide® laser safely and effectively removes unwanted hair on the face and body. Facial hair of the lip, chin and sideburns are most commonly requested. Underarms, bikini areas and nipples are other popular areas for laser epilation, or permanent hair removal. CoolGlide® can permanently remove hair from all skin types and tanned skin with no down time. The CoolGlide® laser utilizes a chilled hand piece that reduces the stinging sensation. No anesthesia is required, but some patients like a topical numbing cream. Most areas targeted for hair removal require three to six treatments to permanently reduce the number of hair follicles that are actively growing hair. As dormant follicles grow new hair, they are removed with successive laser treatments. Typically, treatments are spaced four to six weeks apart.
ProWave™ is used for hair reduction on larger areas of the body, such as the back or legs. ProWave has a larger chilled hand piece and treats all skin types quickly and safely, eliminating the need for anesthesia. Four to six laser treatments are usually necessary for permanent removal of unwanted hair, and are spaced about four to six weeks apart.

Vein Therapy
Our Cutera CoolGlide® laser can make unsightly veins of the face and body disappear. Patients with all skin tones can be treated, and Cutera CoolGlide can also reduce or eliminate blood blisters and port wine stains. The cold tip on the laser hand piece minimizes discomfort. Superficial facial veins and mid-depth spider veins on the face or body are most frequently targeted for removal. Typically, one or two treatments are needed for the face and two or three treatments are needed for the legs to eliminate dilated veins. Following treatment, the face may be a little pink for an hour or so. The leg veins are usually pink for a day or two after these anti-aging skin care procedures. Occasionally, tan pigment can be seen following leg vein treatment and can last for several weeks as the body absorbs the treated vein. Following treatment most normal activities can be resumed immediately and exercise can be started in a day.
LimeLight for Brown Spots and Red Areas
LimeLite Facial™ is a light based treatment that removes brown pigmentation that comes from sun damage from the face, neck and chest. It offers dramatic results for removing brown spots and red spots from the hands and arms as well. LimeLite Facial™ is also useful in removing red areas caused by broken capillaries and rosacea. Treatments are done with a cool gel, and the hand piece is also chilled to minimize discomfort. Two to three of the light based skin care treatments, lasting from one half to one hour are typically needed, depending on the areas to be treated. There is no postoperative down time; some mild redness may occur but fades in a few hours. Following this non-invasive cosmetic therapy, the brown spots on the skin darken and fade in a week or two. Once the complexion has cleared, it’s important to utilize sun protection to prevent further sun damage to your skin. Prescription strength sun block and other skin care products from the Peer Skin Center can prolong the benefits of your LimeLite Facial therapy.
Fraxel® Dual 1150/1927
Fraxel is a safe, non-invasive laser skin treatment that resurfaces damaged skin uncovering the skin of your youth — all with minimal impact on your every day routine. Fraxel® Dual 1550/1927 is the latest in Fraxel technology, with two treatment modes to effectively target both the surface and deeper skin layers for smoother, fresh looking skin. The Fraxel® Dual 1550 mode penetrates deeper into the skin layers to treat concerns like wrinkles, acne scarring and pigmentation while the 1927 mode treats sun spots, age spots, skin tone and texture which are the more superficial signs of aging. Treatments are specifically tailored for each individual. Several treatments are recommended for optimal results. Downtime averages from three to five days.
The Pearl™ Procedure
Patients who think they are candidates for Pearl™ can now take advantage of the newest technology in skin resurfacing, The Fraxel® Dual. Fraxel® provides a safe and effective treatment for restoring the skin’s natural beauty. Each individual’s treatments can be tailored to meet their specific needs. This is accomplished with Fraxel® under topical anesthesia with less downtime.
New Anti-Aging Breakthrough… Pearl™ Fractional Laser

Ultherapy®
Ultherapy is an improved technology using ultrasound to achieve natural, noticeable skin lifting and tightening. This FDA approved, non-invasive treatment focuses ultrasound energy below the surface of the skin to stimulate the body’s creation of new collagen creating an natural lift and tightening of facial skin. After just one treatment, with no downtime, skin will gradually appear more refreshed and uplifted. Ultherapy is an excellent option for someone with skin that has “relaxed” and feels less firm and who wants some lifting but may not be ready for surgery. Younger patients are frequently excellent candidates for Ultherapy to treat signs of aging before they become too obvious.
The Titan™ Procedure
Patients who think they are candidates for Titan™ treatments can now take advantage of the newer technology in Ultherapy® because it spares the superficial layers of the skin and applies the energy to the deeper layer of skin and the supporting structures where tissue tightening and lifting occur. Ultherapy® achieves safe and satisfying results with no appreciable downtime.
Laser Genesis
Our Laser Genesis system uses non-invasive laser light to safely treat fine wrinkles, large pores, uneven skin texture, redness, and scars, restoring a smooth skin texture. This cosmetic procedure produces a warming sensation of the skin, but topical anesthetics are not needed. Mild redness may occur following Laser Genesis skin care treatments, but subsides within a few hours. Commonly treated areas are the nose, cheeks and neck. Laser Genesis diminishes pore size and lessens or eliminates sun damage. Rosacea also responds well to Laser Genesis. With each treatment the redness is lessened. Four to six laser treatments are needed to achieve optimal results and provide the full benefits of this skin care therapy.
