Rejuvenate Dull, Uneven Skin In New Jersey

Your skin is constantly battered during everyday life—by both internal and external stressors. As a result, it may become uneven and washed out because of dryness, injury, and a buildup of dead cells that clog the pores. Sometimes referred to as microplanning or blading, dermaplaning at New Jersey’s The Peer Group is a safe and effective way to remove unwanted hair, dead skin cells, and dirt from epidermis to give the skin a silky smooth and youthful appearance.

What Is Dermaplaning?

Experience the ultimate in skin rejuvenation with our Dermaplaning treatment! This highly effective physical exfoliation technique uses a sterile surgical scalpel to gently “shave” the skin’s surface, removing the top layer of dead skin cells and fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). Say goodbye to dull, flaky skin and hello to a radiant complexion. This three-step procedure includes physical exfoliation, a chemical peel or customized mask, and cryogenic therapy, ensuring maximum results. Plus, your skincare products will penetrate deeper and work more effectively. Transform your skin and achieve a flawless glow with Dermaplaning!

Procedure

During this in-office procedure, a sterile scalpel is lightly run over the surface of the skin at a 45-degree angle to exfoliate the dry, flaky cells. This allows a layer of newer, healthier skin cells to come to the surface.

Patients won’t usually experience any discomfort, Since the treatment is gentle and non-abrasive, it can be ideal for patients who have sensitive skin.

Recovery

There is no downtime or recovery required after this low-risk procedure. Although this is very rare, whiteheads may develop several days after.

Results

The goal behind this treatment is to leave patients with smoother, softer, and more radiant skin. The skin will look clearer right after a session, though it may take several days before the full results can be seen. Dermaplaning often has the benefit of improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, sun damage, dull skin, dry skin, hyperpigmentation, and minor acne scars.

The results typically last for around three weeks to one month. It’s critical for patients to wear sunscreen after they have had this treatment, as it makes their skin more sensitive to sunlight. This procedure also allows topical products to penetrate the skin more effectively and improves makeup application because patients have a softer, cleaner canvas.
