Dysport®

In 2009, the FDA approved Dysport^® to treat frown lines caused by the action of muscles of the forehead between the eyes, the same cosmetic indication as Botox^®. Like Botox^®, Dysport^® relaxes muscles, softening or eliminating frown and worry lines and crow’s feet. Some users believe that Dysport^® is more effective than Botox^® injections in correcting crow’s feet, and while safe, this use is considered an off-label application. The injections are virtually painless and are associated with little or no down time. Treated wrinkles are noticeably smoother within 24-48 hours and the results typically last anywhere from 3-6 months.
