The Five W's and The Peer Group

Before anyone starts on a new project, they need to ask themselves five questions:  Who, what, when, why & where.  It's no different with plastic surgery.  In fact, when it comes to medical procedures, it is critically important to know whose hands you are entrusting your care to; understanding the procedures you are undergoing; the timing for recovery; that your decisions are based on reliable, honest evaluations with reasonable expectation and the facility is first-rate.  here is The Peer Group primer for the five "W's":

The Peer Group for Plastic Surgery consists of four exceptionally well-trained plastic surgeons, all board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.  That means they have been scrutinized and tested and they all know their stuff.  And then some. No flying by the seat of their pants here. They have all been extensively trained, keep up with additional courses and stay abreast of the latest and best technologies.  I can vouch that they are all kind, caring physicians with the patient's interest always the number one priority. Now that's important!

Our consultations are thorough and complete.  We want you to feel comfortable, confident and at ease.  We prepare you to be fully aware of what to expect before, during and after surgery. The consult is all about you and we stay focused on you throughout all of your pre-operative and post-operative visits to our office.

Timing is important for recovery without stress. It is human nature that when you discover something that will enhance you, whether it’s a new suit, a new car or a plastic surgery procedure – you want it now. However, planning what you are going to do run equally important as to when you are going to do it. So plan carefully. Give yourself adequate recovery time so you can recover in peace. Our patient coordinators at the Peer Group, have seen it all. (The four patient coordinators have been with the Peer Group for a total of more than EIGHTY-SIX (86) YEARS….I’d say they have seen it all!)

They give honest, straightforward answers to your questions concerning the surgical process. Don’t hesitate a moment to chat with them about all those “little concerns” that bother you. You will have the opportunity to discuss, at length, the procedures you are interested in and you and your physician can select the extent of correction you wish to undergo.  So many options, so many choices.  But you will be able to make an informed decision, because we give you the information you need to do that.  You pick and choose - we don’t push procedures and choose for you. However, we are always prepared to tell you what we think works best for you – to give you the best results.

The Peer Group operating room and recovery suite is certified by The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc., and is truly first class.  Our anesthesiologists are on staff at St. Barnabas Medical Center. Our nurses and technicians are of the highest caliber and have been selected because of their exceptional nursing skills and people skills.  We include a post-operative survey in our post-operative care bag that you take home- and our operating room comments are always glowing!  You will see why.

Come discover your potential....
